    We stayed for 2 nights at this lovely guesthouse whilst visiting Birmingham with family from Canada. We enjoyed the whole experience at this clean, efficient and friendly establishment.
    Breakfast was DIY with things made available, including fresh fruit etc.
    Rooms were comfortable, and lively and quiet, so a goid nights sleep had by all.

  • I was made to feel like I was family and not a paying guest.
    First time I’ve stayed at Blythewood - would I stay here again? Absolutely.

    This is the 4th time I’ve stayed in Coleshill for work - and I’ve finally found somewhere I’d stay again. I was starting to think there was nowhere decent to stay in Coleshill but there is - Blythewood.

    Hosts were superb and really welcoming. Breakfast room is great along with space in the fridge (it’s small things like this that make the difference).

    After 2 stupid busy days at work I didn’t fancy eating out so I got takeaway and had it in the breakfast room. Much better than going out for food.

    I slept great - no noise at all during the night.

    Are there little niggles here and there? Yes! Would I mention them? No. It’s a b&b where Ii was made to feel really welcome and that nothing was too much trouble - that’s good enough for me.

    The Blythewood is a great place to stay and I’d happily stay again and again when I’m in the area for work.

  • Booked here after reading a Google review from a single female who said she felt safe which was exactly what I wanted. Booked with confidence and was not disappointed as had a great welcome and immediately felt at home. Loved being able to order a takeaway and to just relax after a day at the expo. Other guests were very friendly and we all agreed it was the best place to stay. I really won't go anywhere else and I visit the NEC regularly.

    It is our preferred location when visiting NEC and we have stayed there several times now. Being only 10 minutes from NEC and easy to find is also an added bonus. Also, being in Coleshill means there are places to eat within walking distance.
    There was nothing we didn't like, which is why we stay there regularly.

  • Very comfortable stay, very good value and great location for the airport and NEC

    Well situated for the NEC, just a 10 min drive away. It was clean, comfortable and had a well stocked breakfast room where we were welcome to eat in the evening with take out menus supplied. Plenty of parking and the village has some nice little shops. The en-suite room was very comfortable and had everything I could need.

  • Hopefully we'll be returning next year, thanks for having us.

    It's in a quiet location and fairly close to the NEC,there are lots of places to dine out within walking distance or you can get a takeaway and eat it in the kitchen in fact it was like being at home.

  • Breakfast is continental, self service with a well stocked fridge. I enjoyed a variety of fruit and yogurt. The breakfast room is open 24/7 and guests are welcome to eat there in the evening. There are shops and a supermarket within a 5 minute walk. Being on my own and sat down (car/ the NEC) all day I walked to a local item of interest, mentioned in the guest information. Sadly it wasn't as described and when I commented, Patricia responded with commendable speed and redrafted the information pack. I hardly dare mention that RHK Dreamers (a marvellous Bangladeshi restaurant) has closed since my last visit.

  • All I needed after a busy working day.

    Lovely stay, Blythewood guest house is the perfect antidote to a busy week exhibiting at the NEC. Homely and clean, a much better experience than chain hotel alternatives. Made to feel very welcome, very happy and will happily book again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • Comfy stay an easy drive from the NEC which provided a nice end-of-day reprieve from the workday.

    Comfy, clean room. Pleasant and responsive innkeeper who does not hover but was available when needed. Kitchen/fridge stocked with essentials. We really had a great stay here for our purposes as a traveling team for business. We look forward to returning!

  • Very comfortable, warm and homely guest house, quiet location with plenty of local amenities close by. Also close to the NEC where we were spending our time at an event whilst in Birmingham.

    The breakfast room was perfect for us, plenty of breakfast supplies and great to be able to prepare our own food at any time of the day.

    Pat and Jane were so friendly, couldn’t do enough, even providing new blankets on our arrival for us to ”test them out” (very soft and cosy they were too, thank you).

    Our stay was excellent and without a doubt we would choose to stay there again, highly recommend it.

  • I was looking for a place to stay during Crufts and I found a great place in an interesting town.

    Cozy and very pleasant place. The advantages include: silence, beautiful surroundings and a nice owner. I prepared breakfast myself, having a fully equipped kitchen and a full fridge. I sincerely recommend this place! Honestly, everything was fine. In case of any problems, I was able to contact the owner via WhatsApp.
